I purchased a more expensive one a few years back and lost it in a house fire. I thought I would try this one since it was more than half the price cheaper. After having it in the freezer for 12 hours as directed we made our first batch. It was great and I love the timer on the one which wasnтАЩt on the more expensive one. Love it!

Runs smoothly when learning to use. It is a little noisy, my advice is to run the machine when most people are in another room. Made delicious ice cream and sorbet with this and both turned out great! Texture is soft and easy to consume. Cleanup is easy.

it's easy to use and it makes a creamy and good ice cream, it also depends on what kind of ice cream you use, I didn't keep it cold before and it still turned out very good, I added a little time but it was worth it

We have had this machine for a month now and used it 8 times! ItтАЩs brilliant, canтАЩt fault it - easy to set up, use & clean. Perfect ice cream each time, just like a Mr Whippy from the ice cream van. We buy Comelle Ice Cream mix in a 1 litre carton and refrigerate it before use. We set the machine to 45-50 minutes and let it do itтАЩs thing.

This ice cream machine is outstanding it does like a real ice cream van and tastes amazing and so easy to clean afterwards, if any one want soft serve ice cream you need to get this machine.

Easy to use, was received days earlier than expected and makes a nice ice cream. you do need to clean it after each use (after taking it apart to remove large amounts of residue in the drum). Th Instructions talk about a short clean taking a few minutes, however, the cleaning cycle itself take 10 minutes and you really need to do that a couple of times to clean it properly. If you don't clean the drum by hand it will take over 6 cleaning cycles to get it properly clean. All in all it's well worth the trouble for the ice cream it makes.

The unit takes roughly 1L of ice cream at a time it needs the additional space for when the cream expands. 40 minutes to freeze automatically . It is noisy while operating but nothing drastic. Ultimate gift for any ice cream lover.

The first attempt was great with lovely soft ice cream. the second try produced a delicious chocolate ice cream that was far better than I expected, and I know exactly what is in the ice cream.
Now to the cleaning- while not difficult, it is a little time-consuming.
All in all this machine is far better than I expected and produces brilliant soft icecream.
Also the customer service was superb, which is a rare thing these days.

The ice cream machine is heavy but works brilliantly. I have been using the Jersey ice cream mixture from Amazon (both vanilla and chocolate) and it makes brilliant ice cream.
I have followed the advice of the other reviews and put the mixture on for an hour instead of the default 40 minutes set by the machine and the ice cream has come out perfectly - it's just like ice cream from a van/the sea side!.
One litre of ice cream mixture made 4.5 of the tubs (see the picture with the review) and a small cone. I will definitely say it's well worth the purchase!

I love this machine. I wanted a way to hit that nostalgic soft-serve craving at home and the Klarstein does it perfectly. It makes real soft-serve ice cream like you've had from the Mr. Whippy van. I've had it now for about a month, during which I've made up a batch of ice cream more-or-less every other day.
