In our office we have two computers that tend to heat the room up significantly, plus a south facing window that radiates heat through most of the day. Needless to say in the summer it can be pretty miserable. Not only did this thing make the room a comfortable temperature, if it was turned down enough you might almost need a jacket! Obviously we don't need to keep it THAT cool, but you're no longer sweating when you are in there. The office is about the size of a large bedroom.
There is some noise when this thing is running and it gets louder the cooler the temp you want it to put out, but it kind of fades into background noise after a while.

This little guy saved summer! It was so hot in my bedroom and my sons room and our regular ac wasn’t cutting it. I read many reviews and decided on Black & Decker product since I am familiar with the brand and it typically has good reviews. I’ve been using this product all summer and I’m sad I didn’t get it sooner. It has kept my room and my sons room cool and at a very comfortable temperature. There have been some days especially at night where I’ve even turned it off because it was too cold. I would definitely recommend this product especially if you’re trying to cool down a room or 2 or a certain area of your home because your regular ac doesn’t keep it cool enough.

I received my second one two days ago. Installed just as easy as my first one. Is working great. Bought my first one 2 months ago. Could not be happier. Cools great and economically. If you are looking for a great portable air conditioner, this is the one to get. Works like a central unit because you set the desired temperature and it comes on only when needed. When area has cooled off it cycles down to low speed with no compressor. Goes back to high speed when compressor comes on. After going to low speed fan and it is not needed it cuts off until needed. You will not be sorry buying this air conditioner.
